2020 has been an unusual year for everyone and as leaders we’ve all faced new challenges, situations and tough decisions. We had to, more than ever, ensure the safety of our employees, customers and business partners, while at the same time dealing with a business environment that's been rather unpredictable.
However, when we are at our most stretched, that's when there's also the biggest opportunity for learning and growth.
But in order for that to happen, we do need to take time to reflect. Reflection is about taking time out for yourself, it's when we give our brain time to process, to make meaning of the experiences and start to translate them into actionable insights that lead to longer-term growth.
So I want to invite you to turn off the phone and other distractions and take 30 mins of quality time for yourself to think, reflect and plan for the next year.
To give you a bit of structure and support for this exercise, please feel free to download this Reflection Guide which includes some questions to stimulate your thinking. Feel free to share the link with your teams.
